Optimize Your Journey To Better Health
The Journey to Healing your Body
Whether you are on a journey that is quick and short or one that will help resolve long standing issues, the following will give you the best chance of reaching your health goals as quickly as possible.
How much acupuncture do I need?
To get the most out of acupuncture therapy, worry more about not getting enough acupuncture therapy within a week than getting too much.
Acupuncture therapy helps your body apply your own natural healing energy more accurately and efficiently. If you don’t get enough acupuncture therapy sessions per week, your body systems will resort back to what they were doing before, not putting enough energy, attention and focus on healing your body.
This means getting acupuncture therapy once a week is not enough when your body needs to be healing efficently, acurrately and round the clock.
How many times a week do you need to get acupuncture therapy so you get fast results? Well, it depends on the severity of your complaint. Is it severe, moderate or mild?
Severe Complaint = Daily or Every Other Day
If your complaint is severe or fairly severe, then get acupuncture therapy daily or every other day. This will provide you relief and supercharge your natural healing abilities.
Severe or fairly severe means your complaint makes it harder to do or gets worse doing everyday kinds of things like bathing and dressing, or going to get groceries. Or your complaint gets in the way of getting your work done, interferes with your sleep, or generally makes life not fun.
Moderate Complaint = 3 times a week
If your complaint is moderate or once your complaint becomes moderate then get acupuncture therapy three times a week. This will help your body to heal more efficiently and provide consistent relief .
Moderate complaints make life just more difficult. Your sleep is ok but it would be so much better if your complaint wasn’t there. You can go to work but your complaint hassles you all day or towards the latter half of the day. You are not as focused or productive at work due to your complaint. After work or on the weekends you don’t feel up to doing extra activities. Life just doesn’t feel as good as it did before you had this complaint.
Mild Complaint = 2 times a week
If your complaint is mild or once your complaint becomes mild then get acupuncture therapy twice a week. Your body systems will then get the edge they need to resolve the complaint thoroughly.
A mild complaint is one that may be a nagging injury or health problem that only feels a little uncomfortable.. Maybe it only happens now and then. Or it only gets triggered when you do something like physical exertion or vigorous activity. Maybe your complaint happens when you don’t get enough sleep or when you get stressed out.
Could I still get results if I come less often?
These are guidelines to get the best and quickest results from acupuncture therapy. If these recommended treatment plans are too much then please come in as often as you can but also please change your expectations. Be ready to be very patient in getting lasting results. Your journey to better health will be longer. How much longer is too difficult to predict. It may be months or longer before you feel sustained, lasting improvement. Stay the course, keep getting your acupuncture therapy sessions. Even slow improvement to your health is worth it.
