We start with you where ever you are along your path to better health and we will be with you until you reach your health goals. That is Neighborhood Acupuncture.

Neighborhood Acupuncture patients experience Balance Method acupuncture while resting in a reclined comfortable chair, in a peaceful, relaxed, private room. After a quick review of your healing journey, super thin acupuncture "pins" are gently placed, mostly from the elbows to the hands and from the knees to the feet; so there is no need to disrobe. Simply roll up your sleeves and pants’ legs, take off your shoes and socks, recline your chair, close your eyes and relax.

Once your "pins" are in place, rest for about an hour. You may soon feel more at ease or a little sleepy. Sometimes you’ll take a short nap, or drift in and out a peaceful, dream like rest. If not that's ok too. Usually after 30 to 50 minutes you’ll “wake up” or start to feel a little restless, this means you’re “ready”. Before you know it we'll will be back to take out your pins and send your recharged self to your next adventure.

About Tona

Tona Marquez Acupuncturist Balance Method Practitioner
Tona AcuTherapist
Like his father, Tona(tiuh) Solis Marquez, was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. Tona has always felt at home in Santa Barbara. His original passions for music, sound and voice led him to an early career as a Sound and Recording Engineer. His uncle, an acupuncturist and so much more, suggested Tona study Asian Medicine. Learning Asian Medicine came natural to Tona. And the more he learned, the more he recognized a need to find a master of Asian Medicine to learn the best methods to help patients feel better and heal.

Tona started as an Intern Acupuncturist in 2006 and was certified by the State of California in 2008 as a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc).

Then, Tona was fortunate to advance his acupuncture skills, learning directly from Dr. Richard Teh-Fu Tan, master of Balance Method Acupuncture.

About

Tona continues mastering Balance Method acupuncture at the Dr Han School of Acupuncture, where he has achieved the highest certification of Executive Level Practitioner. Tona has treated many, many patients with a wide variety of health issues.

So, What is Balance Method Acupuncture

Balance Method Acupuncture uses two common concepts that are frequently found in Chinese culture. Balance and Imaging. If there is a problem in the lower part of the body you treat the upper part. If there is a problem on the right side of the body then treat the left side. Imaging, you treat a part of the body that looks similar to another part. Another way of saying this is, you image a part of the body onto another part of the body. But these concepts are best explained in person.

Using Balance Method acupuncture often produces instantaneous-like results! This means you can feel the results during your treatment. Then, repeating the treatment frequently provides consistant relief as your body better learns how to heal the problem.

Balance Method Acupuncture provides quick and effective pain relief, helps relax the body, improves sleep and digestion, regulates hormones and the immune system, and reduces stress, anxiety and depression.

Balance Method Acupuncture is being performed all over the world and people are getting the results they could not achieve through other acupuncture methods. To find a Balance Method Acupuncturist near your please visit Dr Tan Balance Method Practicioner Directory
